Scholarships
OUR GOAL: Project iAm’s main goal is to provide scholarship opportunities to children living within the autism spectrum. As funds become available, we hope to distribute finances to families no matter how big or small the amount may be. Please feel free to fill out our scholarship applications for our committee to review, but note that we will post application deadline dates for each cycle of funding. We hope we can continue to help children receive the treatment they need to fight this prominent disorder
CRITERIA: Project iAm prides itself on distributing funds to families, no matter what their choice of treatment or economic status may be. Project iAm does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, gender, or any other preferences. As our scholarship committee begins their long process of choosing which children receive funding, several factors come into play, including, but not limited to the following:
*your child’s story and your families struggles with this disorder
*financial need
*volunteer work and time contribution to Project iAm
*types and places of treatment: Please note, that Project iAm tries to grant funding to ALL types of therapy. Our decisions are partly based on the number of applicants from one type or place of therapy versus another.
Feel free to fill out an application by its deadline and mail to:

Spring 2010 Scholarship Recipients
Ryan: In Honor of Ronnie Sayyah. Ryan is using his funding toward a communication device. Mr. Sayyah has been an avid supporter of Project iAm from the beginning…even though he lives in New Smyrna Beach, Florida! His graphic arts design has been the face for many of our posters, web materials, and merchandise. Ronnie even flew into town to volunteer for Acoustics for Autism…Plugged In!
Grace: In Honor of Maumee Quickprint. Grace is using her scholarship money at the Toledo Hearing and Speech Center. Maumee Quickprint has been a great local business in uptown Maumee for years. They have shown so much generosity to us for our events that is has enabled us to save money and give it to children like Grace instead of using it for business expenses! Due to their dedication and hard work, we were able to successfully present Acoustics for Autism…Plugged In!
Aidan: In Mickey Thompson. Aidan is using his funding at the University of Toledo Kinesiotherapy Center. Mickey Thompson is a special little boy in New Jersey who is living with ASD just like Aidan. Mickey’s father has selflessly devoted time to Project iAm in honor of his son, including donating an amazing one of a kind item to Acoustics for Autism so that we can raise money to distribute to the children in our area, like Aidan. Thanks to Mickey and his struggles and accomplishments, we our spreading the good Project iAm name from coast to coast!
Joselyn: In Honor of The Lord Grizzly Brown. Joselyn is using her scholarship toward treatment at the Kaufman Clinic. If you listen to WIOT, you know who Grizzly Brown is…but if you’ve ever been to a Project iAm musical event, you know how much he supports us. Grizzly is one of Toledo’s most beloved radio deejay’s and we are fortunate enough to have him give Project iAm immense plugs whenever he can! Without his support and enthusiasm for our foundation, we would not have had the great success with our musical events that we have had. We love you Griz and keep Toledo rockin!
Noah: In Honor of Jim Beeson. Noah is using his scholarship at the Rehab Dynamics Summer Camp. Jim Beeson was one of our first supporters and helped at our premiere event by allowing Project iAm to accept funding through the Collingwood Center Aquatics program. Jim has helped children with Autism express themselves inside and out of the pool and has been an avid volunteer and friend.
